About the company

In 2002, Latvian insurance company BTA purchased 100% of shares in Lithuanian insurance company LTB Draudimas and started its business in Lithuania under the name of BTA DRAUDIMAS. After ten years of successful activities, shareholders of BTA resolved to merge UAB BTA DRAUDIMAS to Latvian insurance company BTA Apdrošinašanas Akciju Sabiedriba (BTA Joint-Stock Insurance Company). Following the merger, at the beginning of 2011 UAB BTA DRAUDIMAS ceased functioning as a legal person and BTA turned an affiliate of BTA Joint-Stock Insurance Company in Lithuania.

Stable activities and well-defined strategy of the Company gave grounds for BTA to become in 2011 a European company named BTA Insurance Company SE, while the branch office of BTA Joint-Stock Insurance Company in Lithuania has been named the affiliate of BTA Insurance Company SE in Lithuania since summer 2011. BTA shareholders, owning more than 10% of the company, is Pauls Dandzbergs and Gints Dandzbergs.

For the past several years BTA was exposed to intensive changes. We hope the reorganisation process, which determined positive changes in the company, will not only facilitate even better optimisation of Company’s resources and strengthening of the Company’s trade mark, but, what is of primary importance, will also ensure successful further cooperation, provide long-term and stable financial guarantees to our policyholders and partners.

Customer needs are our main priority. With this in mind, the insurance company pays great attention to the improvement of service quality not only by creating a higher added value to customers, but also by modifying the main pricing principles. In order to ensure accessibility to insurance services and high-quality customer service, last year we endeavoured to create even more favourable conditions to our customers to acquire company’s services in most comfortable and convenient ways and, what is most of all important, to ensure service delivery on a high professional level. We managed to achieve this through continuous training of our staff and raising their qualifications.

We are happy with our goals and fundamental results which ensure stable and uninterrupted operations of BTA in the insurance market and abilities of the Company to work for the interests of policyholders.
