If you have your vehicle insured by BTA:

  1. Do everything to reduce further losses.
  2. Call the police (or, where necessary, other special services: fire rescue service, emergency service, first aid) and fill in the accident statement as required under the law.
  3. Call BTA to report on the accident.
  4. Come to the nearest BTA Loss Handling Unit within 3 working days, taking with you the vehicle registration documents and your driver's licence as well as the accident statement or police certificate.
  5. If you have an accident abroad, it is recommended to take a photo of the scene and draw a diagram of the accident.
  6. You can register the event by calling BTA Customer Information Centre (8 5) 2600 600 or online at www.bta.lt.
