If you have BTA Travel Insurance policy:

  1. If you get injured or sick during your trip, immediately apply to a medical institution for qualified medical aid. Call BTA or assisting companies (use the telephone numbers given in the policy) and we will advise you of what to do in case of occurrence of an insurance event abroad.
  2. Our employees or assisting companies will help you process the formalities related to medical establishments (issue written guarantee of medical service coverage to medical establishments, etc.) and assist you in any other matters.
  3. When applying about the event, specify the number of series of your policy, the term of policy validity, your full name, the name and address of the medical establishment, the telephone number to contact you or your attending doctor, the reason for, and the circumstances of, applying to the medical establishment, the type of medical aid you need/needed.
  4. Depending on the circumstances of the event and your financial situation, you can pay the travel-related costs yourself. To receive compensation of your costs upon coming back to Lithuania, apply to BTA and report on the event in 72 hours and produce the following documentary proof:
    • Original receipts and invoices;
    • Documentary proof of the event insured: certificates issued by medical institutions, confirmations of flight delays or loss of/damage to luggage from the airline company, documents issued by law enforcement authorities, etc.
  5. If your luggage or third party liability was covered during your trip abroad, you must report BTA on the event insured within 24 hours.
  6. If you had contracted for Trip Missing Insurance and missed the trip due to the reasons indicated in the contract, immediately notify BTA on the reason of missing the trip.
