Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance

All motor vehicles registered in the Republic of Lithuania must have valid Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance (MTPLI) policies. Unexpected situations that occur on the road often involve damage to third parties (their health or property) as a result of traffic incident. It means that if you are at fault for a traffic incident (accident), BTA will indemnify for the damage caused by the accident to third parties. The indemnification may cover vehicle repair costs, destroyed road constructions, reconstruction of immovable property, treatment of injured persons and other accident-related costs.

Don’t pay for what you won’t use!

If you intend to drive outside the country, BTA will issue an International Insurance Certificate (Green Card) free of charge together with your motor TPL policy. The Green Card is valid in the European Union, European Economic Zone and all Green Card system member states. However, if you use your car only in Lithuania and do not plan to drive abroad with it in the nearest future, BTA offers you the Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance policy for a much more favourable price!
