If your bicycle, scooter, or other active leisure equipment is damaged in a collision, we will cover the repair costs or compensate the purchase price of equivalent equipment.
Leisure equipment user
With Active Leisure Insurance, the person using the equipment – the insured – is covered against accidents that occur while using the equipment.
Third-party damages
The insured person, while using a bicycle, scooter, or other active leisure equipment, will be covered for damages that may arise, for example, from accidentally injuring a pedestrian, another cyclist, or scratching someone else’s car.

Theft
A bicycle or scooter stolen from a public place – such as near a shopping center, school, workplace, etc. Important! The bicycle or scooter must be locked to a fixed structure.
Destruction
Irreparable damage to a bicycle, electric scooter, or self-balancing vehicle caused by a collision with a vehicle, pedestrian, or tree.
Damaged equipment
For example, the bicycle wheels were damaged in a collision, or you hit a rock while skiing and damaged your skis.
Personal accidents
The insured person falls off a bicycle or scooter and injures their leg or arm.
Third-party liability
While riding a bicycle, scooter, or using other active leisure equipment, a parked car or a fence is damaged.
How to submit a damage claim?

Exclusions from coverage
Depreciation
The bicycle frame breaks due to corrosion or rust, or the equipment is scratched or worn out from normal long-term use.
Unattended equipment
A bicycle, scooter, or other active leisure equipment is left unlocked and unattended outside a shop or café.
Usage-related damage
A bicycle, scooter, or active leisure equipment is used in violation of the manufacturer’s operating requirements, used improperly, or in unsuitable conditions.
Work-related activity
A bicycle, scooter, or active leisure equipment is used while performing professional or economic activities, or during work or service duties.

Active Leisure Equipment Insurance is a service designed for individuals who enjoy using active leisure vehicles and equipment. With this insurance, you can cover:
Manual vehicles – such as a bicycle or scooter.
Electric vehicles – including electric bicycles, electric scooters, self-balancing vehicles, and other electric means of transport that, according to the Law on Compulsory Insurance Against Civil Liability in Respect of the Use of Motor Vehicles of the Republic of Lithuania, are not classified as motor vehicles.
Active leisure equipment – such as skis, snowboard, ice skates, paddleboard, windsurf board, wakeboard, kayak, or canoe.
Important: Insurance coverage does not apply if the insured equipment is used for professional, economic, or commercial activities.
The insurance coverage is valid within the Insurance Territory specified in the Insurance Contract (Lithuania, the Baltic States, or Europe).

In case of theft, robbery, or a traffic accident, you must report the incident to the police.
In case of injury, seek medical assistance immediately.
Within 3 days, report the incident to BTA (https://www.bta.lt/zalos/kita), follow BTA’s instructions, and provide the requested documents.
When purchasing Active Leisure Equipment Insurance, it is important for the equipment user to pay attention to the following aspects:
Property insurance coverage (such as destruction, theft, or damage) applies only to the active leisure vehicles and equipment specifically listed in the insurance contract.
Personal Accident and Civil Liability Insurance apply only to the individuals specified as insured persons in the contract while operating the active leisure vehicle.
When using vehicles or active leisure equipment, it is essential to follow the rules and legal regulations applicable in the area where the equipment is being used.
Not all electric vehicles can be insured under Active Leisure Equipment Insurance.
Only those electric vehicles not classified as motor vehicles under the Law on Compulsory Insurance Against Civil Liability in Respect of the Use of Motor Vehicles of the Republic of Lithuania are eligible.
This typically includes electric bicycles, scooters, self-balancing vehicles, and similar light electric transport used for leisure purposes.
